WorldCart Online Mall was founded by NextGenTech Southern Africa, a leading importer and distributor of quality products, and Into SA South Africa, the leading Corporate Advisory Firm for foreigners and foreign companies entering Southern African markets.
For more than two decades, the directors of NextGenTech and the advisors of Into SA have been travelling the globe, to present and lecture about the risks and opportunities of introducing international companies as well as local and global brands from abroad into Africa. But not every company was willing and able to enter the African continent. Therefore the commitment was born, to anyway bring their unique products to Africa and to sell them under the newest concept of online retail by stocking the virtual stores and shelves of WorldCart Online Mall, the first true online mall in Africa.
WorldCart saves time and money for everyone by taking over the travels and the search for suitable products around the globe. Finding that unique product or a uniquely priced competitive product of what has been offered in Africa for decades, either in an inferior quality or for a price benefitting local retail chains rather than local consumers.
The opening of WorldCart Online Mall was a major stepping stone towards an enhanced 21st-century virtual shopping experience and – over time – will combine an unrivaled variety of international products with the advantages and convenience of buying locally, in a local currency, and without any unnecessary travels or waiting times as WorldCart maintains its stock in its local warehouses and will not have to import from overseas first when an order is received.
WorldCart Online Mall opened on 1 June 2020, right in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, but did neither falter nor slow down in its efforts to change the local virtual shopping landscape. It opened its doors first to the shoppers located around its home in Centurion for all that live in the Gauteng Province of South Africa but has since expanded to all residents in South Africa.
WorldCart operates an innovative logistics concept ensuring the delivery of any product within 48 – 72 hours to the customer’s door but has in the meantime also opened a physical store, dubbed THE STORE, in Durbanville, Cape Town. But just because they all collude to end up offering certain products for the same price does not mean that it is for a fair market price, to the contrary!
