Synopsis

An oppressed Mexican farming village is terrorized year after year by the ruthless bandit Calvera and his gang of marauders. Desperate, the villagers journey across the border to recruit gunfighters to defend them. They return with seven — each man arriving with his own reasons for taking on what seems like a suicidal mission. Despite overwhelming odds, the seven prepare the frightened villagers to fight back, in this landmark Western based on Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai, featuring one of cinema’s most iconic scores by Elmer Bernstein.
